Discover your history...
Who were our ancestors? From where do we originate? Most people can trace their family tree back no further than three or four generations. Thanks to genetic analysis, however, it is possible to look back into millennia long past. Would you like to learn about your original ancestory? Do you possibly have Celtic, Germanic, Viking or Jewish roots? See also our DNA profiles of famous persons and our DNA Genealogy Examples.
A saliva sample is sufficient for determining your origins along the maternal and paternal line. (How is that done?) After the analysis of your DNA you receive a detailed report containing your primitive tribe, country of origin and haplogroup (see: Haplogroups by country).
Here and in our Forum you find the most popular links for iGENEA DNA-Genealogy: A DNA genealogy test can also be beneficial to experienced genealogists. As opposed to documents, genetic information is error free. Birth certificates, penalty orders and other documentation used for researching family trees were not always completed and issued correctly. In innumerable cases, wars, disturbances or natural catastrophes have led to the destruction of such documentation. It is exactly here that a DNA genealogy test comes into its own. |
