Your personal result will be compared with worldwide studies on different populations. Thereby, you will learn from which regions of the world your ancestors came from. The result refers to all of your ancestors.

The precentages of the different origins among your DNA is displayed in a chart.

3. Find relatives
Use this test to find relatives, regardless of how you are related. It is particularly suited to confirm or exclude close relatives. In the database you will also find more distant relatives.
In your online-result you get a list of your biological relatives. Besides name and email address also the suspected degree of kinship is specified and the last names of all ancestors of this person.
4. Science
The FamilyFinder test analyses more than 710.000 SNPs (Single Nucleotid Polymorphisms) in coherent sections on the chromosomes 1-22 and X. Linked blocks of DNA across the 22 autosomal chromosomes are matched between two people. The degree of matching yields evidence for the relationship. Certain occurrences of SNPs define a specific regional origin.
