The Black Surname Project
Description:
Researching the Black surname can be frustrating, as it is a very common surname, and is sometimes difficult to determine which family individuals are related. Origins of the surname can be in many countries, including Scotland, England, Germany, France. All males surnamed BLACK (or variants) are welcome to join the project, but as only males have Y-chromosomes, only males can participate. If you are female, you can have a male relative surnamed BLACK (or variants)submit a sample for your line. To participate meaningfully, testees will need to share their direct male line ancestry back to the earliest known BLACK (or variants), as a pedigree (excluding living persons).
