The Bleifer/Blafer Surname Project
Description:
The Bleifers/Blafersin genetic haplotype places our origin in the Middle East, though my father's family emigrated to the US from Ukraine. The 'ei'dipthong in the name is pronounced as the 'ei' in eight. We are not related to a Bleifer family from the Krakow Poland area nor to Blafers from England or Spain. My website in on Geni.com and includes information for the eight grandparent lineages of my wife and me including: Blafer (Bleifer), Bein, Chalek (Chalick, Cheilek, Chalik), Cutler (Catler), Groveman (Gruvman, Gorvman, Gruverman), Zoltkevitz/Goldstein (Zalatkevitz), Sczupakewicz/Goldstein (Schupakevitz), Kutcher (Kuczer), and Steisel.
