The Bradberry/Bradbury Surname Project
This project is intended primarily to assist genealogists and family historians in tracing the various Bradberry (Bradbury) families to their origins, presumably in the British Isles. There have been Bradberry and Bradbury families in North America since the 17th century, with a general association of the Bradberry spelling with the southern colonies, and the Bradbury spelling with New England. However, there are exceptions, and many of our ancestors were creative spellers. It should not be surprising to discover that our ancestors spelled our surname in different ways at different times. Many of us have run into brick walls in colonial times; Y-DNA analysis gives us a chance to get over, around or through such impediments.
Other surnames in Project
