The Burtonwood surname is heavily concentrated in Lancashire, UK. I am compiling a complete list of all the Burtonwoods in England at every census 1841 - 1911. By using Y-DNA results of Burtonwood men alive today I hope to discover whether all the Burtonwood families are descended from a common Burtonwood ancestor.
