The purpose of this JACKMAN Family Y-Chromosome DNA Group is to identify the various JACKMAN lines and help members of the group of JACKMAN males (or their proxie) find their immigrant JACKMAN family line, ancestors, and living cousins. The JACKMAN group was recently started to establish and verify 'fingerprint markers' for the several lines of JACKMANs around the world to see which ones share a common male JACKMAN ancestor and origins. We encourage and welcome male JACKMANs who live in the USA, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Germany, and 'Down Under' to participate. The project results are posted at: http>//www.PageY-DNA.org New members are encouraged to order and take FTDNA's 25 marker Y-DNA Plus test at a Group rate of $148. I am the JACKMAN Group Administrator and will analysis your test data based upon the known paper trails of your JACKMAN ancestry. Your JACKMAN test results and analysis will be shared only with you and the other tested male JACKMANs (or their proxie) in order to help you and them locate cousins previously unknown.The Jackman Family Project is open to all male JACKMANs who are interested in working together to find their common heritage through sharing of information and Y-Chromosome DNA test results.
