The Prillaman/Brüllmann Surname Project
Description:
Prillamans in America descend from a common ancestor, Jacob Prillaman Sr. who signed his surname as Jacob Brüllmann and immigrated to Virginia from Switzerland in 1747. By testing the Y DNA of males with a Prillaman or Brüllmann surname or a derivation of either name we hope to determine the connection between the families. Presently we have male participants from two of Jacob's three sons; John, and Daniel but still need a participant from the elder son, Jacob Jr. We also have the results from one Brüllmann participant from Switzerland confirming an ancestral connection to the Brüllmann family of Switzerland. Females may also participate. We are looking for a direct line female descendants of Waltpurgelly, Jacob Prillaman's wife, and also of her possible sister, Elizabeth Helm, wife of Jacob Snidow.
