The Scribner Surname Project
Description:
Originally, this project was started to determine whether a Connecticut Scribner (originally Scrivener) family and a Maine Scribner (originally Scriven) family were related. Now, the focus is on all spelling variants and helping all to find genetic relationships. For purposes of continuity, Scribner has been kept as the project name, even though it is a relatively recent spelling variant, even for the initial families of interest.
