Description:
Stidham & Stedman & variants DNA Study.The focus of our study is to scientifically determine those Stidhams (all spellings) genetically descended from the Swedish immigrant, Timen Stiddem (c.1610-1686), from those who aren't. Additionally, to identify genetic descedants of the Scottish Steedmans, many of whom now spell their names as Stidham, Steadham, and Stedham. Also, a new focus is to see if the Stedman families who settled in New England in the early 1600s are related to the Scottish Steedmans and Steadmans who settled in the Carolinas in the 1700s.
