The Wertman Surname Project
The Wertman Family Association DNA Project is open to men of known, or unknown ancestry. Test subjects will usually, but not necessarily carry the Wertman surname. The Y-Chromosome is passed virtually unchanged from father to son, although infrequent mutations do occur. We can compare their test results and determine to a high degree of certainty, if two men share a common direct line male ancestor. Females may participate by encouraging males meeting the above requirements to submit a sample. Joining the project requires the purchase of a test kit for analysis. Our Executive Board has approved a plan where descendants of certain lines are eligible to have the complete cost of their test paid by the WFA. Contact us for more details, or to learn if you qualify.
