Instead, it turned out to be a whirlwind journey of unexpected surprises, uncovering secrets, and realigning my sense of identity. Even more fascinating was the revelation about my surname, Higgins. Contrary to popular belief, it appears that it may not be of pure Irish origin after all! This exercise broadened my understanding and unraveled unexpected twists to my paternal lineage.
