Dear AGM,

the origins analysis is not only based on the haplogroup but also on your personal profile.

You can write us an Email with your Lab.-Nr. so we can check your profile and tell you if a new assignment is possible.

Do you still confirm the assignment of either Basque or Saami as the Antique Tribe which corresponds to my mtdna haplogroup U3a? In case you have further reasons to strengthen such a link, may I know at least the most firmly based? Taking into account that this haplogroup is very rare in Spain, I am convinced that assigning an Antique Tribe to my maternal lineage is a more than risky operation.

Anyway, thanks in advance.

Dear John,

These statistics were based on recent scientific researches and would have to be adapted continuously to stay up to date. iGenea decided not to update the statistics and to remove them from the website also because they are not relevant for genetic genealogy.

I CAN NOT FIND THE ''STATISITCS'' EVERYBODY'S TALKING ABOUT! Where on earth is it? How can I find information on the Teutons, or the Germanic tribes that exist in Italy?

Dear Kulin Ban,

The new name of old I2a2 is I2a1 (and the other way round for the old I2a1).
Another name that will not change is I-M26.

The high percentage in Sardinia suggests that it originated there but that is not yet clear.
The age has been estimated to be 4.000 to 12.000 years.
Here you can find further informations:

Dear Inma,
What do you say of I2a2 in Spain and its roots, also the connections with Sardinia?
Thank you....
