Description:
This project is intended to help those researching the surname SHERMAN and variations using Y-Chromosome results. If you are a female Sherman and want your MTDNA tested please have a male relative on your mother's side submit a sample on behalf of your line. For more info please see the SHERMAN oproject website. We need participants to share their direct male lineage back to the earliest KNOWN SHERMAN, in either a pedigree chart or preferably, family group sheets (excluding living persons). This a requiremant, not an option for participation in the project, as DNA test results are meaningles without the lineage.
