People arriving in America with a name that sounds like Thames or Tims came in the 1600s. The origin of most were probably somewhere in Europe, but this is not certain or proven. There are variant names as listed below and these may or may not be related. There are different lines in these names that are not proven by paper research leaving many questions as to which family they belong.
